100watt Mystic Blue Star by Cougar

Mystic Blue Star amps are made by Tommy Cougar - the best amp builder on the planet - my good friend Paul Wright first introduced me to Tommy (based in Sweden) a while ago and after I heard a Mystic I had to have one - whatever the cost! These are not cheap amps but there is no other amp around nowadays that can compare to a Mystic Blue Star and you will save yourself years of searching for tone! My Mystic has been specially tweaked for me by Tommy so its rather unique!!!

Catulator (on top of the Mystic Blue Star)

This is the FX Loop for the Mystic amp, it makes the reverbs and delays sound nice and smooth and also sorts out the volumes (sorry for my non-tech explanation!) I normally use a TC rack for delay and sometimes reverb if I'm not using a Fender twin alongside the Mystic (the Fender Twin gives me some reverb in the mix and spreads out the sound of the Mystic).

PROVIDENCE SOV-2

I'm now in proud ownership of the SOV-2 pedal built by Pacifix Providence in Japan. This blows away any other Dumble/TS style OD pedal - it really is the best OD Ive ever used and you will see this being used at all my future gigs with or without the Mystic Blue Star! Its the same build quality as the SOV-1 but in a more compact design and also has a 9v connector. Thanks to my good friend and "tone" mentor Paul Wright for introducing me to these amazing pedals.

This is a pretty much a home made cab made featuring two reissue Celestion G-12 65H speakers - the Mystic Blue Star amp head is voiced with this combination in mind - normally I have it vertically standing to hear it a little better behind me.

This is my touring pedal board: Pacifix SOV-1, Fulltone Clyde Wah, Peterson Strobe Tuner II and Ernie Ball Volume pedal. I've now replaced the SOV-1 with the SOV-2 and also added the Mystic Blue Star Channel/Pre-Amp Boost pedal.
